I understand bondage and Dominance/submission aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. I get that. Sky diving isn’t for me, but I can respect the joy it brings others. With this philosophy in mind, I had lunch with a dear friend. We hadn’t seen each other for a few weeks and I couldn’t wait to share the news that Bondage Anniversary was going to be published.  Well to make a long painful story short – she let me know in NO uncertain terms that she would never read the book and she thought I was doing a dis-service to women everywhere. I tried to explain that it was a love story about two people building a bond of trust and exploring their sexual fantasies together. She wouldn’t let me speak. Her mind had been made up before she sat down to lunch with me

I’m not sure how to proceed with this friendship. Any thoughts?

  1. I’m sure your feelings were very hurt. It probably felt like a betrayal. I certainly would have seen it that way. Don’t let them discourage you. The fact they don’t get it isn’t the real problem. Bondage isn’t for everyone. Okay, no worries. Their behavior on the other hand, was rude, inconsiderate and judgmental. You don’t treat friends that way.
